In the past few years, the Mayor has highlighted the importance of small businesses, concentrating more on those located in the downtown area. He also has demonstrated the importance of a strong school system while being the Chair of the Leominster School Committee by building new schools and upgrading existing schools. Mazzarella now looks forward to bringing in new businesses and building the Leominster economy.

Prior to his run as Mayor, he served five years on the Fitchburg School Committee, three years as the Councilor at Large for the Fitchburg City Council, and served nine years as a Massachusetts State Representative for the Third Worcester District.
Following the presentation by the Mayors, Tricia Pistone, Vice President of Re-Imagine North of Main, will present on revitalizing Fitchburg and partnerships within the community.
