Affiliates
The North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce has affiliate organizations that work side by side with the chamber but may have a separate board of directors, program of work, and/or finances. Visit North Central Massachusetts, the North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation, and the North Central Massachusetts Chamber Foundation– These organizations focus on specialty areas and allow us to achieve more for our members and the North Central region. Additionally, theses affiliations provide multi-faceted value for members’ investment and access to resource that improves business success.
Committees
The North Central MA Chamber of Commerce’s voluntary committees are the lifeblood of the Chamber and it’s advocacy of businesses. Members have the opportunity to contribute directly to the work of the Chamber and to interact with fellow Chamber Members who share common interests. Committee participation is a great way for Members to network, share ideas and further the Chamber’s objectives for North Central businesses through its promotion, support and advocacy initiatives.

The Chamber Ambassadors act as a liaison between members and Chamber staff as well as a connection within the business community. Chamber Ambassadors are members in good standing from various industries and highly visible within their own business as well as the community. The Young Professional of North Central Massachusetts Committee hosts young professionals from various backgrounds to enhance the professional and personal development of the area young professionals. Meeting several times per year, this small committee outlines topic areas for discussion, selects locations for events and provides marketing expertise. The Women’s Leadership Connection Committee is comprised of business women of all levels, whether sole proprietors or executive professionals, which help dictate the programming needs of the WLC events held 9 times throughout the year. The WLC Committee meets approximately 4 times per year, deciding on important topic areas, marketing of the events and how to better support local businesswomen. The Human Resource Council Committee is composed of area human resource managers and employee/labor relations lawyers. This committee selects important topic areas for discussion at monthly HRC events. This committee meets approximately 3 times per year directly following selected monthly meetings. The Scholarship Committee is tasked with reading the 50+ applications the NCMCC Foundation receives each year for only 22-25 $2,000 scholarships. The Chamber’s sister organization, The North Central MA Development Corporation, employs a small group of financial and business savvy members to help make decisions on the micro-loan program. These members meet once per month to discuss potential loans and the risks associated. To join the committee, please contact Sandie Cataldo.
This committee is dedicated to the advocacy of North Central MA business community. Meeting several times per year, this group consists of community leaders and those active in the legislative setting. Committee members develop a list of potential and current legislation that the NCMCC staff should actively monitor as well as discuss the support or lack of support for each piece. Community Leadership Institute: The Community Leadership Institute Steering Committee supports the recruitment and program planning for the CLI program, a 9-month leadership development course. CLI Steering Committee members must be graduates of the program from 1988 –present or actively involved in the monthly events.
