North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation approves financing for Empowered Boutique + Spa

The North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation (NCMDC), the economic development arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, recently approved a $35,000 loan to Alicia Favreau, owner of Empowered Boutique + Spa, to support the launch of her new wellness venture at 67 North Main Street in Leominster. Business planning was provided by NewVue Communities.

With over 15 years of experience in the therapeutic and wellness industries, Alicia’s career has included owning and managing local spas to providing corporate chair massage services through Boston Chair Massage.

With this financing from NCMDC, Alicia is launching Empowered Boutique, a welcoming and flexible shared space designed for independent service providers, including massage therapists, aestheticians, hairstylists, and other wellness professionals, to rent fully equipped treatment rooms on an hourly, daily, or monthly basis. The business also offers retail space with products related to the services provided. This innovative model helps small business owners expand or start their practices without the financial burden of a traditional long-term lease.  In addition to managing Empowered Boutique, Alicia will continue to operate her own brand, Powerful Crystals, offering therapeutic facials and massages for women.
