The 5th Annual Appleseed Country Fair Kicks Off Labor Day Weekend

Johnny Appleseed Country will once again usher in the fall season with the Appleseed Country Fair on Labor Day weekend, September 3rd – 5th at the Red Apple Farm, 455 Highland St., Phillipson, Ma.

The Appleseed Country Fair will feature live music, the 3rd annual Fiddlefest great food, beer and ale from local breweries, crafts from all over New England, local growers, and events for the whole family. Designed to be a great day of family fun, the fair will showcase foods and handcrafts produced locally. The fair will run from 10 am to 6 pm on September 3rd, 10 am to 5 pm on the 4th and from 10 am to 4 pm on the 5th.

“The Appleseed Country Fair is a great way to kick off the fall season and promote some of the great things that North Central Massachusetts has to offer,” said Diane Burnette, Manager of the Johnny Appleseed Visitors’ Center and spokesperson for the event. “This area of Massachusetts has so much to offer and this fair gives local talented crafters, farmers, restaurants, and brewers a chance to showcase their products to a customer base that they may have otherwise not been able to reach.”

This year’s fair will feature over 45 vendors selling everything from local produce, to candles and other handmade crafts, to live music each day, the Fiddlefest, kids games, local food and brews and WWII era memorabilia including military vehicles.

New to the fair is the John Deere 2016 Tractor Pull Challenge. On Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm you can come on down and test your strength and grit by pulling one of our three tractors and winning prizes. The tractors are all different sizes so the pulling can be a family affair!
