Johnny Ahern
Managing Partner, Aroma Joe’s, Leominster
Johnny Ahern is the Managing Partner of Aroma Joe’s franchise locations in Leominster and Tewksbury, Massachusetts. A native of Lowell, Ahern served ten years on active duty in the United States Army, completing two combat tours in Kuwait and Iraq. Following his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., demonstrating a commitment to educational access and inclusion that has carried through his civic life.
In 2017, Ahern and his business partners opened the first Aroma Joe’s franchise in Massachusetts, establishing the Leominster location before expanding to Tewksbury in 2021. Aroma Joe’s is a fast-growing New England-based specialty coffee and energy brand, and Ahern’s multi-unit operation has been a pioneer in bringing the brand to the region. He brings to the Chamber’s board the entrepreneurial perspective of a small business owner and franchise operator, with firsthand experience in retail operations, workforce management, and the consumer market of North Central Massachusetts.
Ahern is deeply engaged in the civic life of the region. He has been a member of the Leominster Rotary Club since 2018 and served as its Club President before rising through district leadership roles to serve as District Governor of Rotary District 7910 for 2025–2026, the first Leominster Rotary Club member to hold that distinction. He is a member of American Legion Post 151, an active volunteer with veteran organizations across the state, and is engaged with multiple chambers of commerce. He has been recognized with the Leominster Rotarian of the Year award and the Helen Hill Patriotic Award from the City of Leominster.
Joseph Basile
President, Catania Oils, Ayer
Joseph Basile is the President of Catania Oils, a fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturing enterprise headquartered in Ayer, Massachusetts. Founded over a century ago, Catania Oils has grown from a door-to-door olive oil business into one of the nation’s leading private-label oil suppliers, with annual revenues surpassing $500 million and approximately 260 employees. The company supplies conventional, non-GMO, and organic oils to retail, foodservice, food ingredient, and bulk markets, with clients that include nationally recognized brands and major supermarket chains.
Basile has risen through the ranks of the family business, having served as Account Manager, Vice President of Sales, and Executive Vice President before assuming the presidency. His tenure reflects a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, sales strategy, and the leadership of a growing, multi-generational enterprise. Under his leadership, Catania has invested heavily in automation, technology, and facility expansion, including a 51,000-square-foot addition to the Ayer campus designed to support continued growth and local job creation.
Catania Oils is one of the largest private employers in Ayer and a significant economic anchor in North Central Massachusetts. Basile brings to the Chamber’s board a manufacturing and food industry perspective, combined with a strong commitment to local employment and community investment that is emblematic of the Chamber’s broader economic development mission.
Allie Catlin
Owner, Smith’s Country Cheese, Winchendon
Allie Catlin is the co-owner of Smith’s Country Cheese, a family-owned working dairy farm, creamery, and retail destination on 43 acres in Winchendon, Massachusetts. Founded in 1985, Smith’s Country Cheese has grown into one of the region’s most beloved agricultural enterprises. In 2016, Catlin and her family purchased the farm from its founder and built on its legacy, growing the operation into a thriving business that draws visitors from across the region to its farm store and working dairy farm, where guests can shop for handcrafted cheeses, milk, and butter and watch the cheesemaking process firsthand.
Under her co-ownership, Smith’s Country Cheese employs 14 people and produces approximately 180,000 pounds of raw milk Gouda, Havarti, and cheddar cheese annually, distributed nationally through the farm store, local farmers markets, and online. In 2024, Catlin was named to the Worcester Business Journal’s Power 100 list of the most influential professionals in Central Massachusetts.
Catlin holds degrees from Franklin Pierce University and Suffolk University and has been a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors for several years, holding leadership positions on the board. Her background as an entrepreneur who built a thriving business through hard work and a commitment to quality reflects the spirit of independent business ownership the Chamber champions. Marieke Cormier
Owner, Roots Natural Foods, Leominster
Marieke Cormier is the owner of Roots Natural Foods, a natural and organic market, kitchen, and juice bar she founded in Leominster, Massachusetts in 2002. Over more than two decades, she has built Roots into a multi-concept food destination serving a growing consumer base seeking locally sourced, organic, and health-conscious products, reflecting broader shifts in consumer preferences and the increasing importance of independent retail in the regional economy. Cormier holds a degree in Biology and Marine Biology from the University of Alaska Southeast.
Cormier’s entrepreneurial development has been recognized at the national level: she was selected for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in 2022, a highly competitive initiative that provides business owners with practical education and tools to drive growth and create jobs. She brings to the Chamber’s board more than two decades of experience as an independent retailer, with deep expertise in natural and organic food, product sourcing, and consumer-focused commerce.

Tony Fields
President & Owner, Cleartech Group, Leominster
Tony Fields is the President and Owner of Cleartech Group, a technology solutions firm he founded in Leominster in 2004 as a veteran- and minority-owned small business. Fields served in the United States Air Force as a space command computer operator, where he developed deep expertise in systems administration and IT infrastructure. After nearly six years of military service, he built a career in corporate IT roles before launching his entrepreneurial venture.
Under his leadership, Cleartech Group has grown from a single-location computer repair franchise into a full-service managed IT provider serving small and mid-sized businesses across Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. In 2017, Fields restructured the company under the Cleartech Group brand, achieving 40 percent revenue growth in the two years that followed. In 2020, the U.S. Small Business Administration recognized Cleartech Group as the Massachusetts Minority-Owned Small Business of the Year.
Fields has served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors since 2020 and served as Board Chair for 2025–2026. He co-founded the Leominster chapter of Business Network International and is actively engaged with organizations including LUK, Inc., Mass STEM Hub, and the Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster. Melissa Glenny

Melissa Glenny is the Founder and CEO of Franklin Professional Associates, Inc., a certified women-owned recruiting and staffing firm headquartered in Leominster, Massachusetts. Glenny launched her career in the staffing industry with Adecco in 2000, progressing over the following decade through roles in business development, management, and directorship, overseeing high-volume workforce programs for major national employers including McKesson, Avery Dennison, Tyco, and The Home Depot. Drawing on that experience, she founded Franklin Professional Associates in 2011, naming the firm in tribute to her grandparents’ Franklin Printing Company, a multigenerational family business and community institution founded in 1949.
Franklin Professional Associates offers temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire placement services, with a highly consultative approach to matching talent to the specific culture and workforce needs of each client. Christopher Hendry
President & CEO, IC Credit Union, Fitchburg
Christopher Hendry is President and CEO of IC Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative headquartered in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Founded in 1928, IC Credit Union has grown to over $600 million in assets and serves members throughout Worcester and North Central Massachusetts, providing a comprehensive range of personal and business financial products and services.
Hendry brings an unusually broad professional background to his role as a credit union executive. Prior to joining IC, he served as Senior Director of External Affairs for UMass Memorial Health Alliance–Clinton Hospital, where he led marketing, communications, and philanthropic programs. Before that, he held leadership positions at Fitchburg State University and Framingham State University. He earned an MBA from Fitchburg State University and has been recognized by the Cooperative Credit Union Association as its CEO of the Year. Hendry served on IC Credit Union’s own board of directors and supervisory committee for nearly a decade before assuming the CEO role in 2021.

Mark Hettinger

Mark Hettinger serves as President and CEO of GFA Federal Credit Union, a member-owned financial institution headquartered in Gardner, Massachusetts. Founded in 1938, GFA Federal Credit Union today serves more than 33,000 members and manages over $760 million in assets through four branch locations in Massachusetts and three in New Hampshire. Under Hettinger’s leadership, GFA continues to strengthen its commitment to financial empowerment, member service, and community investment throughout the region.
With more than three decades of experience in the credit union industry, Hettinger brings extensive expertise in executive leadership, strategic planning, financial management, lending, operations, and organizational development. He joined GFA Federal Credit Union in 2023 following a national search, after serving nearly 20 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at First Alliance Credit Union in Minnesota. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to guide institutional growth, foster innovation, and build high-performing teams focused on service excellence.
Hettinger has completed executive education programs through Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and the CUES CEO Institute. Dr. Donna Hodge
President, Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg
Dr. Donna Hodge is the 12th President of Fitchburg State University and the first woman to lead the institution in its 132-year history. A first-generation college student herself, she brings both lived experience and more than two decades of higher education leadership to the role.
Since her appointment, Dr. Hodge has driven an agenda focused on access, equity, and transformation. In 2025, she launched the Fitchburg Promise, guaranteeing free tuition and fees for Fitchburg residents graduating from local high schools in good academic standing. She has expanded leadership development opportunities for students, faculty, and staff; invested in programs to support military and veteran learners; and advanced housing and campus revitalization efforts. In 2025 and 2026, she was named to the Worcester Business Journal’s Power 100 list of the most influential professionals in Central Massachusetts. Dr. Hodge holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric, master’s degrees in English and Women’s Studies, and executive certificates from MIT and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
Beyond campus, Dr. Hodge is deeply engaged in the region’s civic and economic life. Kenneth Hodges
Plant Director, Georgia-Pacific / Dixie, Leominster
Kenneth Hodges is the Plant Director of the Georgia-Pacific Dixie facility in Leominster, Massachusetts. The Leominster plant is a distinctive and strategically important operation within the Georgia-Pacific enterprise, serving as the company’s primary manufacturing facility for Dixie-brand plastic cutlery sold nationally to retail consumers and to the foodservice and restaurant industry. Georgia-Pacific is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer and commercial products.
Hodges brings more than 25 years of heavy industrial manufacturing and operations leadership to his role. The majority of his career was spent at SSAB, a leading global steel company, where he held a series of progressively senior roles at the company’s Mobile, Alabama operations over more than two decades, including Coordinator, Finishing Operations Manager, and Rolling Mill Operations Manager. He subsequently served as Operations Manager at Enviva, a major producer of industrial wood pellets, before joining Georgia-Pacific as Operations Manager at its Hattiesburg, Mississippi facility in 2023. His expertise spans production management, safety systems, quality procedures, capital project development, and workforce leadership, and he holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Georgia-Pacific’s Dixie facility in Leominster has been a longstanding member of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce and a committed partner in the regional business community. Barbara Mahoney
President & CEO, All One Credit Union, Leominster
Barbara Mahoney is President and CEO of All One Credit Union, a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Leominster, Massachusetts. Founded in 1954, All One Credit Union serves more than 40,000 members across Central Massachusetts, offering a full range of personal and business financial services.
Mahoney joined the credit union in 2003 as Vice President of Human Resources, steadily advancing through senior leadership roles. She was named Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2019 and appointed President and CEO in 2020. Alex Matthews

Alex Matthews is the General Manager of Great Wolf Lodge New England, located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Great Wolf Lodge New England is a premier family resort and indoor water park destination featuring more than 400 guest rooms, an expansive 68,000-square-foot indoor water park, dining, entertainment, and a full-service conference center. The property recently completed a significant multi-million dollar renovation, further cementing its position as one of the region’s premier hospitality and tourism assets.
As general manager of one of the region’s largest hospitality properties, Matthews oversees all aspects of resort operations including guest experience, facilities management, revenue performance, staffing, and community engagement. His leadership of a major hospitality brand with national reach brings a distinctive perspective to the board on tourism, destination marketing, and the economic impact of the visitor economy on North Central Massachusetts.

Patrick McCarty, P.E.
President, The McCarty Companies, Leominster
Patrick McCarty, P.E., is President of McCarty Engineering, Inc. and the second generation to lead the McCarty Companies, a family-owned engineering and construction firm founded in Leominster in 1982. The McCarty Companies comprise two distinct operations: McCarty Engineering, Inc., which provides civil engineering design, permitting, and project management services, and McCarty Associates, Inc., which offers site development and general contracting, enabling the firm to take projects from concept through completed construction.
McCarty holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Massachusetts. His professional experience spans commercial and industrial site development, land acquisition, regulatory permitting, construction management, and design-build project delivery. The firm’s client base includes blue-chip corporations, regional developers, and local manufacturers, with nearly all work generated through referral, a testament to the company’s reputation for quality and integrity.

Nicole Moorshead

Nicole Moorshead is the General Manager of the Chocksett Inn in Sterling, Massachusetts, and the Colonial Hotel in Gardner, Massachusetts. Both properties are full-service hospitality venues offering hotel accommodations, event facilities, and catering services, and both are well-established gathering places for business meetings, social events, and community functions throughout North Central Massachusetts.
Moorshead brings extensive operational expertise in hotel and event management to the Chamber’s board. Her oversight of two distinct properties across the region gives her firsthand knowledge of the hospitality market, workforce dynamics, and the economic forces that shape the visitor and event economy in North Central Massachusetts. Beyond her hospitality operations, she is actively engaged in commercial real estate development, bringing additional expertise in property investment to her professional profile.
Moorshead’s civic and governance engagement spans multiple sectors. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Heywood Healthcare, one of the region’s most important community health systems, and on the board of Cornerstone Bank, contributing to the strategic direction of one of the area’s established financial institutions. David Moura
President, Moura’s Cleaning Service, Fitchburg
David Moura is the Founder and President of Moura’s Cleaning Service, Inc., a commercial cleaning, food sanitation, and janitorial services firm headquartered in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Moura’s introduction to the industry came at an early age, stepping in to cover his mother’s cleaning route while she recovered from surgery. He never left the field, becoming one of the youngest foremen in the company at age 16, overseeing a crew of 28 employees, and upon graduating in 1988 was promoted to one of the youngest area managers in the organization. After more than a decade of hands-on industry experience, he founded Moura’s Cleaning Service in 1993.
What began as a small family operation has grown into a substantial regional enterprise, today employing more than 200 staff members and serving clients across more than 200 locations encompassing upwards of seven million square feet throughout New England and North Carolina. The Worcester Business Journal ranks Moura’s Cleaning Service among the largest minority-owned businesses in Central Massachusetts.
Moura represents the perspective of an independent entrepreneur who built a significant regional business from the ground up over more than three decades. His experience as a long-tenured employer and operator across a broad cross-section of commercial and industrial facilities gives him firsthand understanding of the workforce, operational, and economic challenges facing businesses throughout North Central Massachusetts, making him a strong advocate for the small and mid-sized businesses that form the core of the Chamber’s membership.
Roy M. Nascimento, CCE, IOM
President & CEO, North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce
Roy M. Nascimento is the President and CEO of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, a position he has held since January 2015. In this capacity he also serves as president of the Chamber’s family of affiliate organizations. A 25-year chamber industry veteran, he previously led chambers in New Bedford and Attleboro and served as vice president of the Metro South Chamber of Commerce in Brockton. He comes from a family of small business owners, an upbringing that informs his deep commitment to entrepreneurship and local economic opportunity.
Under his leadership the Chamber has earned national recognition, including Chamber of the Year honors in 2023 and 5-star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a distinction held by fewer than 150 of the nation’s 7,000+ chambers. He has driven significant regional impact, including a microloan program that has deployed more than $10 million to 300+ local small businesses since 2015, a fourfold increase in regional visitor spending, and transformative initiatives including the One North Central economic development plan, the North Central Massachusetts Land Bank, and the North Central Massachusetts Rides TMA. He was named New England Chamber Executive of the Year in 2012 and is a member of the U.S. Chamber’s Committee of 100.
Nascimento holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UMass Dartmouth and a master’s in public administration from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. Kayla Nault

Rozanna Penney
President & CEO, Heywood Healthcare, Gardner
Rozanna Penney is President and CEO of Heywood Healthcare, an independent, community-owned healthcare system serving North Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Heywood Healthcare operates a 134-bed hospital in Gardner, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Athol, a network of primary and specialty care practices, and an 86-bed behavioral health facility, making it one of the region’s most consequential healthcare organizations and among its largest employers.
Penney assumed the CEO role in 2023 during a period of significant organizational challenge, successfully guiding Heywood Healthcare through a voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring and achieving a rare standalone emergence in September 2024. Prior to becoming CEO, she served as Heywood’s Vice President of Ambulatory and Perioperative Services and held interim Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer roles. She also brings clinical experience from Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and UMass Memorial Medical Center as a CRNA.
Penney’s addition to the Chamber’s board brings significant healthcare leadership expertise at a time when healthcare access, workforce, and economic sustainability are central challenges for the region.
